The Moto Guzzi Le Mans III Features
features an 844cc 90-degree air-cooled V-twin and 36mm Dell’Orto PHM pumper carburetors powering a shaft drive. New for the III was the squared-off cylinder heads, slightly increased compression, and bump up to 81 hp.
For the III the Le Mans also got large swooping chromed exhaust, which gives the bike a more graceful, less menacing look than the earlier versions. The squared tops of the cylinders have a machine-age feel and integrate well against the angular yet graceful tank and sculpted seat.
Stopping power comes from Brembo brakes using the Moto Guzzi Integral Braking system, which links the front and rear brakes. Pressing the brake pedal activates the rear and a single front disc; the front brake lever operates the other disc
